I stumbled upon this blog post that was written by one of the professors at Southeastern. It does a good job of articulating some of the things I have been thinking about for the past several years regarding the whole “Merry Christmas” vs. “Happy Holidays” squabble. I have not gotten offended nor frightened when folks wish me “Happy Holidays”. But, for my fellow Christians, I do mind it some, more than some. I like it when the world (USA) talks more like we do, but if the Cross is foolishness to the unbeliever, then why should I expect him to promote a manger or a cross? Certainly our churches (we) have back away from the pure and powerful message of the Gospel.
